It´s movie time! Here´s the beautiful short film The Making of Molami by Stina Lütz, which premiered at Lilla Baren at Riche on Tuesday night.
Enter the mind of designer Maria von Euler as she gives you an inside look into her world of uncompromised design, through DJ Sanna La Fleur who stars in the film. La Fleur has been a muse and supporter of Molami from the very start of the project, three years ago.
Enter a world where sound is wearable!
Some pics from the premiere night at Riche:

Thanks for a great night y´all!

I wish I had about eight arms and could function on five hours sleep a night, but no. That´s why this poor blog hasn´t gotten enough time and affection lately. Deliveries are now pouring in (A.P.C.! Isabel Marant! AVHASHBY! Helmut Lang!), Stockholm Fashion Week is taking place right this minute, and Copenhagen´s dito is coming up this week too... We will also soon present Grit Girl Shoot #2, which we shot on Saturday. Good times, but busy times!
I´m soon off to see the catwalk show of The Local Firm and tonight we have a party with Molami at Riche, but first some of my pics from BACK´s show yesterday. Best Fashion Week coverage are found here and here though. C´est Bon!

The entrance at Konstakademien at Fredsgatan 12

Waiting for the presentation, it was a beautiful day

My favourite dress, the one with the large open zipper in back

And I looove bare shoulders, it´s so sensual and beautiful. Not a collection easily worn though, at least not for me personally, it was a bit chaotic at times. But she´s without a doubt a master of cutting, I saw an incredibly cool coat that didn´t end up on my photos unfortunately. I was probably too busy admiring it...

Paris, round two; staircases and hallways as usual (I´m obviously obsessed with them), and now also featuring old mirrors!

A beautiful Parisian passage:

After our appointment with Helmut Lang we had a late breakfast at CLAUS (which could easily have been the best breakfast including omelette I´ve ever had in Paris, you must go there!) - and while looking out the window from the second floor of the intimate place of CLAUS, there was a Stone Island pullover hanging in the window right opposite to us. We felt at home.

And now, back at the hotel, we´re just about to dig into some nice looking dessert feat. fruit salad and chocolate mousse... Gotta love room service.

Paris life is good. So sad to say there won´t be another round until March, but in between we´ll do buying trips to both Copenhagen and Milan! Not bad, not bad. And the collections so far... OH MY. One can always tell on the number of personal orders... Wowsa!

We´re now comfortably checked in at one of our favourite hotels in Paris, Hotel Amour in Montmartre, which has quite a few unique interior details. Here´s an old hockey game from the basement loo, matching walls and roof in room 304 and ceiling artwork in room 403:

So yeah, what´s up?

Long time no see here on the blog, I´ve had some time off and took the family to visit friends in Dubai.
We´ve been hanging around in the Arabian desert during sunset, we´ve seen beautiful fish en masse (aquarium style), done some shopping at the largest mall in the world, we´ve had afternoon tea on the 122nd floor... Burj Khalifa is 800+ metres folks, the tallest building in the world. I´m scared of heights but I just had to do it, and boy was it worth it! The scones were superb and the view, priceless.
Pictures here:

It was lovely to visit our dear friends and this last pic is the view from their balcony where we enjoyed a few nice dinners. Dubai is a seriously surreal place though, and it´s hard to imagine almost all of it has been built in the last ten years or so. Before, there was sand, and sand, and more sand.
Now, I´m off for Paris for three days, ordering Isabel Marant, Helmut Lang and A.P.C for next season. So excited, as always! Stay tuned for some Paris chic, coming up shortly.

Random post now, sorry for poor update pace. My heart´s been elsewhere, missing my dear grandmother who left this world last week. And just two years ago, I lost my mother.
And my grandmother lost her only child.
I so need to believe they are re-united in some kind of peaceful eternity now.
I know a woman who really has her way with words, and I´d thought I´d share some of her beautiful texts, as well as one of my favourite photos. Here´s me getting some kitty love at casa Nuraeva Starsta this past summer.
Oh how I would want one (eeeh, a few, including this soulful cutie) in my life. No can do though, husband is allergic. So I dream on... Also for those nine lives, imagine being blessed with them...

From Zulphiya, with love:
Your touch followed me home the other night.
...
It hid in the back of my mind as I fell asleep.
I could feel it under my pillow... Tied up to a dream.
Realized I couldn't fight it, and let it lead... ©Zulphiya Nuraeva Starsta
If only your Need for me
Was bigger than my Hurt for you
A rainy day like This would be
My Idea Of Heaven… ©Zulphiya Nuraeva Starsta
Dear darling friends,
I am not gonna tell you that time will ease your pain
Because some scars are not intended to heal...
There are no words.
No words to soothe. No words to comfort.
No words to console your broken hearts.
All I can tell you is that
Your sweet little Angel is all right in the land up there,
Wrapped up in LOVE.
Knowing that your hearts will never stop beating for her... ©Zulphiya Nuraeva Starsta

Rebel, rebel? Well, maybe not so rebellious anymore since we´ve seen it numerous times before; re-makes of David Bowies looks throughout his career (with emphasis on his earlier years, Kate Moss for Vogue Paris just recently, for example).
But this time around, it´s the haute couture patron, Guinness family heiress, modern icon and the late Alexander McQueen´s best friend Daphne Guinness giving it a go for German Vogue, lensed by Bryan Adams (yes, that Bryan):

Left, sequined dress by Dolce & Gabbana, make-up by Daphne Guinness for MAC. Right, velvet jacket by Marc by Marc Jacobs, fake fur collar by Versace, brooch by Bottega Veneta, platforms by Natacha Marro (leggings, private)

Glittering leather piece by Gareth Pugh, collar by Sonia Rykiel, (brooch in eye, private)

Patterned cape by Akris
I kind of like these four images, especially the middle one, and I can´t help being curious of this woman. She has a very special personal style, to say the least. Always spectacular. And does Bowie really well!

...And not to mention, Bowie is a huge personal favourite artist/person of mine. I just realized my old blog, filled with goodies and among them some great Bowie images, has gone in to a black hole in cyber space. This means I can do some serious re-posting, he he! Stay tuned.
Happy New Year everyone!!

And what better way to celebrate the new year than with friends and loved ones, and lots of champagne? We had a long, amazing dinner, drinks and fireworks, night games, cheese, and lots of laughter. With this said, mine started out just perfect. And as if this wasn´t good enough, I also got to sleep real late this morning... I love 2012 already!
I entered this brand new year in a gorgeous leather and velvet dress with high slits by Dagmar:

Also wearing black basic top by Stylein, belt by Borba Margo, vintage earrings and bangles. Had planned to wear these thigh high Willow boots with the dress as well, but I couldn´t find the time to actually lace them up! Killer wedges by Jil Sander also did the trick though.
Now, I´m gonna enjoy a few days off. Cheers, and again, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Folks, our winter sale is now so on!

I did some sale shopping myself on Monday, and wore it yesterday. This long, light grey dress by Rodebjer is absolutely beautiful, but I did cut off the lining to make it more sheer, I was too heavy for my liking before. But now, perfection! Sorry I can´t say the same of my face, it´s just one of those days it had to be cut off too, ha ha.

Venus dress by Rodebjer (it even has pockets!), black leather and red python belt by Borba Margo, red earrings of my own design, vintage bangles, vintage heels.
