Took a drive up north again today to leave Gustav at the dog sitter´s since we leave for Paris (yay!) later this coming week. To my big joy, there´s quite a few antique stops along the way. Look at this little vintage Chesterfield armchair, how cute? It would´ve been perfect for Maxine, but hey, 5000 Swedish Kroner was a bit heavy right now for something that´s not really necessary. Damn. Love was in the air though.

I went with some dear friends to see Christoffer Roth with band perform at Nöjesguidens Stockholmspris (translates Stockholm Prize, their own yearly awards) at Nalen yesterday night. The five song gig was real good and so is his first video, enjoy!

Free newsmag Metro has launched a new monthly fashion supplement, and the first issue came out last week. It´s looking great and the ambition is high. I particularly enjoyed a piece on North African free spirit city Marrakech, which in short is the place Yves Saint Laurent found colourful inspiration back in the day (60´s, 70´s), and since so many of today´s designer´s find inspiration in old YSL collections, the vibrant colour palette and bold combinations for spring/summer 2011 can be traced back to Morocco.
They asked me to participate too, with spring favourites here with us at Nitty Gritty! Swedish label Rodebjer´s confetti dress is one of them. As is the scent Bluebell by Penhaligon´s (I´m using the store sample almost everyday, we finally got a re-stock so now I´ll be able to get one of my own, yay!), the Twee mini from Jerome Dreyfuss and a relaxed, French chic jacket by Isabel Marant Etoile.
Just don´t mind me looking like I smoked something illegal... And what´s up with that big neck? Note to self: no professional photographer next time, things can apparently go really bad, ha ha ha. Or as we say in Swedish: själv är bäste dräng.

The store is now filled with beautiful new collections which by their presence alone give hope. May spring be with us shortly!
I´m visiting my grandmother a couple hours north of Stockholm this weekend, and it is -20 degrees here... Snow everywhere and icy streets. Suffering in this extreme cold, I´m not best served this chilled, that´s for sure.
Wanna wear pure silk vest tops from Collection K, boucle jackets from Isabel Marant Etoile and perfect pants from Rodebjer, and not to mention the confetti patterned maxi length silk dress from the later, too - without freezing to death.
Here, some fresh snaps from the store. Come by soon!

It’s vocoder week! If you don’t know what a vocoder is here’s an explanation . I guess its James Blakes fault, the new musical wonder kid from England. It’s the only record in my I-phone at the moment. I don’t why I appreciate the instrument as much as I do, maybe is it the artificial sound.
Here are some clean examples. Nitty Gritty Music - Vocoder
