So, Tuesday night in Paris. EPIC. After a looong dinner at Hotel Amour, our menswear buyer Erik took me and Maria to a club called PomPon, it was a bar with a small club in the basement. Intimate and initially crowdy. We ended up staying there at the after party hours after they closed, and Erik himself took care of the music (not planned, it just happened and the owners seem to like it big time). I just danced, danced and danced the night away. And drank champagne like there was no tomorrow (which I kind of regretted at A.P.C. the day after, ha ha ha)...
Just WOW.
(And for the record, at this stage both me and Maria had moved on to flats...)

It’s far fetched but clean anyways!
Yesterday I played some Shalamar at our warm store! I thought it was suitable with some sweet up-tempo disco wile our sale is in its prime time! Anyway, Marcus that owns Nitty Gritty said that Shalamar sounds exactly like an intro to a 80s movie.
You know it could be Eddy Murphy, Molly Ringwald, Chevy Chase, Andrew McCartney or any other 80s star driving a Motorcycle, Mercedes Sl, old Chevy, Skateboard. They are on their way to something, Police department, college, new job, new city or any kind of destination.
Let’s say that the movie takes place in Los Angeles this is what you would see.
1. Lead Character driving from a distance.
2. Hollywood sign.
3.Rodeo Drive and luxury wives with shopping bags from high-end brands you never heard of, a Limo driver that waits for luxury wives, people in very fashionable outfits.
4. Two girls in bikini roller-skating by the beach.
5. Fast clip of the Capitol records building.
6. Some mansions in Beverly Hills.
7. A crazy guy dancing with a boom box wearing a red leather jacket and a white glove on one of his hands.
8. Gay guy walking two or more very well cut white puddles
9 Lead character-taking notice of the gay guy. Lead character pulls his/her Wayfarers down on his/her nose tip to get a better look.
10. Lead character gets to the destination.
If you want the best experience you should listen to this while driving.

Photo Booth continued, I wore Iosselliani earrings (we have an identical model with a green agate in store right now, as well as a circle version, these shaded fringe styles are the best ever), Diana Orving dress, vintage metal bangles mixed with a wooden one from Cornelia Webb and one in plastic from Angie Gooderham, and absolutely stunning Dries van Noten heels in army green suede and floral print satin. Lipstick YSL. Ah, of course my green python MOMO from Jerome Dreyfuss was with me as well, I can´t recall the last time I ever left home (or a hotel for that matter) without it...
All dolled up and in the mood for dancing!

Couldn´t find my charger for the camera when we left for Paris, so iPhone and Photo Booth it is... I do need to get a new camera nevertheless, heard Canon S95 should be a good one so I guess I´ll go for that one.
Anyhow, Maria put on her f*cking brilliant bracelet heels from Chloé for last night´s occasion. These shoes aren´t made for walking, but hey, have you ever laid your eyes on a hotter pair? Oh mama. I am convinced someone will propose to Maria when she´s wearing them!
(And for the record, if you feel like getting paired off, we do have a couple left on sale..!)

It was a late night yesterday, we danced the Paris night away and I´ll get back to this one in the coming post. But today is the day we pay for what we did, or drank, ha ha.
Oh boy, we were so hung over when it was time for our A.P.C. meeting today (Maria looked fresh like apple blossom but looks can be deceiving, ha ha ha). But they served amazing lunch (our breakfast, that is) and the collection was incredible, so it was still a perfect start of the day. Yay!

Paris is burning, sort of! When we got off the plane late last night, it was like walking into a wall of heat. Today it´s 37 degrees Celcius and I can´t even guess how hot it is in the sun... Whoa!

Packing for Paris! I´ll leave the swimsuit at home, but bringing too many pairs of heels. As always... Ha ha. Summer nights in Paris, here we come!

On my right hand fingers I can count the number of times the Sun has shined on midsummer eve, this year is no different. Don’t get me wrong I love midsummer eve. Fifteen years ago on a wet and rainy night I met the woman of my life on midsummer eve, and I probably got a huge help of the magic twenty-four hour light that we get here in the north. This year I have given up and will be at Sturehof eating Lobster from Maine while the rain is pouring down outside. Glad midsommar!
I asked my good friend Peder to give me a solid sacrifice, Stonehenge, weird cults dancing naked under a strange pole kind of Spotify list. Maybe with a little help from the music we get some sunshine. Enjoy!

In less than a week´s time, me and Maria are leaving for Paris to start buying for spring/summer 2012. Yay!
This stay will be for three nights and then in October, during Paris Fashion Week, we usually stay for a whole week. This means I constantly search for good Paris hotels, and personally, I particularly enjoy the Marais area. It´s walking distance to almost everything, and since I´ve been madly in love with Paris as long as I can remember, I find the Marais to be the very heart of it all, if that makes sense?
Anyhow. I stumbled upon the p-e-r-f-e-c-t place to stay, crazy cosy Parisian luxury, and they had a room available even though there´s just five (!) in total (my heart skipped a beat when I got their reply, I must admit)...but it was a little bit over my budget this time around. But sharing is caring, so here you go. Sleep tight. And cuddle with the dogs from me!

Marais House for y´all.
