Bits And Pieces

If you are getting away with a look that is some kind of a cross over between 70´s porn star and Jude Laws character Dickie Greenleaf from The Talented Mr Ripley, you definitely got some sense of style.

Spalwart, A.T.P. & Little Liffner

Bits And Pieces

Just in between the menswear international fashion weeks and trade shows and the up and coming international women’s shows in Paris and London, Sweden manages to squeeze in a kind of fashion week as well. It’s not something that Nitty Gritty in particular is a part of, and as you know, we don’t work with that many Swedish brands. Main reason for that is that we first and foremost try to offer a unique mix of brands for our home market, and since most Swedish multibrand stores offer a big selection of Swedish and Scandinavian brands, we try to do it differently. We do like our fellow Swedish business colleagues, and have the greatest respect for their work, and some of them have made it into the Nitty Gritty concept.

Idil Omar is one of our locals. She lives nearby the Nitty Gritty Stores and became a regular when she moved to Stockholm 5 years ago from the south of Sweden. This hot and steamy Tuesday, properly dressed out due to the weather circumstances, she paid us a visit for some inspiration and autumn `New Arrivals´ for herself and also to find a birthday gift for a friend...

Bits And Pieces

You know when you ask a person if they are good at something and they shyly look away, mumbling something about; "Yeah, I guess I'm ok at it…". The only thing you can know for sure when getting that kind of answer is that the person is hell of a something, probably pro...

Bits And Pieces

This is Adam and Jen. We had the pleasure of their visit in the Nitty Gritty men- and women stores the other day, flying in all the way from San Francisco. Adam was wearing a very nice Barena Venezia coat and we started chatting with him about it. It turned out that he works for the store Unionmade in San Francisco, a store well known for it´s genuine offerings of high quality clothing, not too far from our concept and how we work with our own Nitty Gritty Stores...

Nitty Gritty Entertainment System…

Bits And Pieces

You have got to check out our website. Nitty Gritty is first and foremost a retail and agency business, but we are also children of our time. Today we are happy about the possibility we have to work our way around as stylists, bloggers, DJ’s, photographers and digital magazine producers. Because that’s pretty much what it is to run an online business if you want to entertain, inspire, educate and involve people that share our passion and interest for style, culture and clothing. The result is right here, where you are now, at www.nittygrittystore.com

Bits And Pieces

Our eyes are well educated in the fashion scouting game. For example, we could easily spot a Doctoral Researcher in Fashion from quite some distance. Of course it helps if he´s wearing a bright yellow raincoat. Namktyu Chun from New York “stopped by” the Nitty Gritty Menswear store the other day on his way to Helsinki...

Bits And Pieces

Roland has been a loyal Nitty Gritty customer since the very beginning back in 1991. But this day, when we caught him on The Bench, his main purpose of visiting Krukmakargatan wasn´t to shop for new clothes, but to collect the latest issue of the Japanese Outdoor Fashion Magazine “Go Out”, sold by our shop neighbour Papercut. Thanks for stopping by Roland!
