LONDON CALLING, part 1.
Published: 2012-12-20 21:00:00 Tags: Travels
I headed to London a couple of weeks ago, not for buying this time around, but for inspiration de luxe, just hanging around town (topped off with a couple of last minute business meetings thrown in there for good measure).
Unfortunately, Sweden suffered a massive snowstorm on the day of my departure, so my flight was cancelled and the trip shortened a bit, but luckily I was at least able to get another flight the day after.
Here´s the first bunch of snapshots from two crammed (but oh-so-great) days:
As always, I felt right at home at Liberty´s which must be my favourite department store in the whole wide world; the interior and all the fantastic stuff on offer, impeccable! And just how awesome with a small palm tree lamp in brass in one of the lounge areas?! (I have a giant one at home myself, he he. Great minds and all that...).
And gorgeous foldable walls made from paneled doors... Yum.
I stayed at a small boutique hotel in Kensington, close to everything and on the Piccadilly line to get to Heathrow airport by tube, very convenient.
Cute morning view from my hotel room:
...and by night:
I just adore the small town feeling, this was on the short walk to the tube:
Had a meeting with these guys:
The result will appear in Monocle Magazine February 2013 issue... Stay tuned!
Staircase at Dover Street Market feat. my dark green brogue boots by Church´s (in store now):
Staircase at the hotel, same brogue boots teamed with Karin Malm blazer jacket (in store now), Helmut lang leggings, House of Dagmar tee, Iosselliani necklace, giant feather ring by Yukie Deuxpoints and fine hammered rings by Laura Lee (all rings in store now). Vintage bangles and briefcase by BOYY (the later also in store now):
...And some BIG personal news: I can only close the top button of this gorgeous blazer jacket, I´m soon five months pregnant and expecting my second child in end April. Woop woop!
Watch this space for more London pics, coming up shortly!
PS. The striped wallpaper at the hotel, I have the exact same one in my hallway at home. What´s the odds? From Neisha Crosland.
