Maybe this personal experience was all the motivation Ralph Lauren needed to become, according to us, one of the worlds most famous and successful fashion designers. Raised in the Bronx, New York and without any real intention of becoming a fashion designer young Ralph launched his own men’s tie collection under the name of Polo. The year was 1967 and the rest as we say is history.
