Nitty Gritty has been a part of the retail scene in Stockholm for almost 20 years.

We have never had any stores outside Stockholm even though there have been more than a few demands over the years for it both from other regions in Sweden and from foreign countries.

The “in crowd” loved us in the early nineties and we tried to stay in touch with them through “Nitty Gritty Times” – a postal advertising fanzine that also filled the function of a mail-order catalogue. We had small ads in the World famous Swedish music magazine “Okej” and we went clubbing at the "in spots" at the time as much as possible just to see our clothes get sweaty and ripped off on a vibrant dance floor, most likely to some northern soul classic or something right off the Hacienda Manchester play list.

The first snow has fallen and still sits on the ground in Stockholm. We have reached the time of year when the fotball season (in Sweden we play spring/fall) collide with the ice hockey season, it's getting dark around 4 pm and you are staring to look forward to Christmas. But first, we have to celebrate all the fathers on Sunday since Swedish ”Fathers Day” is approaching.
